tellmydoctor.app is a free, private symptom timeline tool that helps you keep a clear record of how you have been feeling — so you can communicate it clearly to your doctor, GP, or consultant. Instead of trying to recall weeks of symptoms from memory during a short appointment, you arrive with a structured, exportable timeline ready to share.
Fill in your patient details
Enter your name, date of birth, and your doctor's name. These are saved automatically and appear on your exported PDF.
Log symptoms as they happen
Record the date, time, symptom, body area, severity (1–10), possible trigger, duration, and any notes. The more detail you capture, the more useful your timeline becomes. Made a mistake? You can edit or delete any entry later.
Filter, review trends, and export before your appointment
Filter by symptom, date range, severity, or search text. Filtering to a single symptom also reveals a severity-over-time chart. Hit Export PDF for a clean, printable report, or Export CSV to open your data in a spreadsheet. Share it with your doctor digitally or print it out.
🔒 Your data never leaves your device. Everything you enter is stored only in your browser's local storage — it is not sent to any server, not stored in any database, and not accessible to anyone but you. We do not collect, track, monitor, or sell any personal information. There are no accounts, no logins, and no analytics.
This extends to the page itself: fonts and the PDF export library are hosted on this site rather than fetched from a third-party CDN, so loading tellmydoctor.app doesn't send a request — and your IP address — to Google, Cloudflare, or anyone else. The only optional exception is passphrase protection, which encrypts your data on-device (AES-256) before it touches local storage; nothing is ever transmitted anywhere in either case.
Because data lives in your browser, use Export backup regularly to save a copy of your entries. Clearing your browser data will erase your timeline. Note that the exported backup file itself is a plain, unencrypted JSON file — even if you have passphrase protection turned on — so store it somewhere private.
